Emma Fae Ainsworth was born Jan. 22, 2010 in Clovis to Michelle Dean and Ryan Ainsworth, and passed from this life on Sat., Mar. 29, 2025 in Lubbock, TX. Emma was a lifelong resident of Portales, and was currently a freshman at Portales High School.
Emma was an extremely talented and creative young lady. She could turn a few lines into a masterpiece in just a very short time. Emma loved to sew and create costumes. She created figures in clay and with Legos and with her 3D printer.
In addition to her artistic creativity, she was a wonderful story teller, and created detailed back stories about the original characters she had created using graphic design. Earlier this school year she became involved in drama. Emma was the Volley Ball team manager, and also played tennis. She had recently gotten her driver’s permit, and loved to drive at every chance.
Emma is survived by her mother, Michelle (Matt) Dean and her father, Ryan (Heather) Ainsworth both of Portales; three sisters, Addison, Molly and Rylee Ainsworth of the home; her grandparents, Brenda Dean of Portales, Chuck and Paula Dean of Mayhill, NM, Ross and Olivia Ainsworth of Lubbock, Tx and Jan Ainsworth of Portales; great-grandmothers, Florence Dean of Alamogordo and Patsy Buzbee of Clovis; several aunts and uncles, including Rossi and Damon Terry and Theta and Jake Perez; and a number of cousins, including Eli (Emily) Terry, Asa and Ali May Terry, and Summit and Max Perez; and many friends including Laney Reese and Arion Peterson; and by her beloved cat, Pep. Emma literally bottle-fed Pep from a kitten into adulthood, and was truly a “Pep Mom.” She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Albertine and Wilbur Dodge, and Charles Dean, as well as by her paternal great-grandparents, Robert T. Buzbee and Marie and Nelson “Dude” Ainsworth.
