Obituary for Tommy Leon Moore
Graveside services for Tommy L. Moore, 70, of Elida will be at 2:00 PM, Fri., Jan. 19, 2018 in the Elida Cemetery with Wayne Kinman officiating.
Tommy Leon Moore was born May 8, 1947 in Portales to the home of Betty Lou (Standefer) and Jack Moore, and died Jan. 15, 2018 in Portales. Tommy was a lifelong resident of the Elida community. During his early life, Tommy farmed. Several years ago he became disabled, and could no longer farm, but he continued a lifelong interest in doing mechanical work. He always liked to see if he could fix things. Tommy was a regular in Portales, as he drove daily from his home to Portales to fill in the hours.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Cody Guss of Portales; four grandchildren; his mother, Betty Lou Moore of Elida; a brother, B J Moore of Elida; and a sister, Joyce Wright of Anton, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Moore.
