The Rosary for Miguel Arellano, 61, of Portales, will be recited at 9:00 AM, Mon., Mar. 26, 2018 at St. Helen Catholic Chuch, and will be followed by a Memorial Mass of the Resurrection celebrated by Fr. Charles Ugochukwu at 10:00 AM.
Miguel Montes Arellano was born Oct. 20, 1956 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to the home of Maria del Refugion Arellano Chavez and Jesus Montes Cuevas and died at his home in Portales, NM on Mar. 22, 2018. On Sept. 6, 1975 in Juarez, Mexico, he was married to Esperanza Vargas Robles. They moved to El Paso in 1980, and came to Portales in 2007. Mr. Arellano was a very accomplished auto body repair man, and took great pride in his ability to repair and restore automobiles. He loved his work, and was constantly working a car.
He is survived by his wife, Esperanza Montes of their home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Miguel and Anna Motnes of Portales and Andres and Griselda Montes of Juarez, Mexico; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilu Montes and Jesus Ollevervides of Portales, Lucia Montes and Iral Ibarbol of Portales and Esperanza Montes and Angel Barelas of El Paso, TX; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Manuel Montes of Juarez, Mexico, Jesus Montes and Lorenzo Montes both of Albuqueruquq; and six sisters, Lydia Villas, Rosa Guzman and Carmen Montes all of Juarez, Mexico and Teresa Bejarano of Artesia, NM, Maria Yanez of Roswell, NM and Norm
