Graveside services for Mary Lee Terral, 82, of Causey, will be at 10:30 AM, Fri., Oct. 26, 2018 at the Causey Cemetery with Dr. Glenn McCoy officiating. Mike Bolton, J. D. Terral, Greg Sokora, Brandon Sokora, Nathan Rice, Darrell Caviness, Ross Caviness and Jimmy Duncan along with all other family members and her many friends will be honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either the Causey Cemetery Fund, P O Box 15, Causey, NM 88113 or to the Causey Baptist Church, P O Box 22, Causey, NM 88113.
Mary Lee was born Aug. 27, 1936 in Littlefield, TX to the home of Mary (Kloiber) and Bruce W. Bolton, and died Oct. 21, 2018 in Lubbock, TX. She grew up and attended school n the Morton area. On Sept. 9, 1954 in Lovington, NM, she was married to Jerome Terral. For many years she worked as the bookkeeper for the Causey Gin. In 1976, she was appointed as Post Mistress for the Causey Post Office, and retired in 2016 after more than 40 year of service.
Mary Lee was an accomplished seamstress, and for a number of years she did sewing for the public. She was quite athletic, and enjoyed playing on a ladies’ volleyball team for several years. They competed in tournaments throughout the area. She and Jerome also often went bowling with friends in Littlefield. Mary Lee was a member of the Causey Baptist Church where she served as church pianist for several years. Most precious of all was the time she was able to spend with her family.
She is survived by Jerome, her husband of more than 64 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Shonni and Greg Sokora of Lubbock, TX; two grandchildren, Brandon (Lindsay) Sokora and Lynsey (Nathan) Rice; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Aliya and Alexander Sokora and another great-granddaughter expected in Dec; as well as a brother, Mike Bolton of Deming, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Frank Bolton, a sister, Pat Bolton, and a son, Jimmy Terral who died in 1977.
