NMU Teams Up with UNM College of Pharmacy for Early Assurance Program
The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy recently created an Early Assurance Program (EAP) to ensure that their Doctor of Pharmacy degree is available to all New Mexican students. The program creates a medium for students to earn their undergraduate and doctorate degree in seven years instead of eight years.
Students at Eastern New Mexico University will be able to apply to the EAP at the end of their freshman or sophomore year in college.
ENMU will provide academic advisors who are assigned, in part, to work specifically with EAP students and provide students with a point-of-contact at ENMU to assist them after they have completed the baccalaureate degree.
The College of Pharmacy will conduct bi-annual meetings with EAP students at ENMU and provide students with specialized academic counseling and community building events and meetings. Successfully admitted EAP students will also receive a PharmCAS scholarship.
