Funeral services for Ninfa Moreno, 79, of Portales, will be at 10:00 AM, Thurs., April 20, 2017 at the La Iglesia Evangelica de Dios en Cristo Jesus with Pastor Ramon Carillo officiating. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Joe Garay, Ramon Aceves, Cesar Calderon, Cesar Aceves, Carlos Calderon, Jose manuel Aceves, Jose Rasario Aceves Moreno and Saul Aceves Moreno serving as pallbearers.
Ninfa Moreno was born July 16, 1937 in Benito Juarez, Coahuila, Mexico to the home of Micaela (Hernandez) and Sevestian Moreno and died early Monday morning, April 17, 2017 in Lubbock, TX. She came to Portales in 1988, and for several years was employed at the Brown Peanut Mill. At other times she worked in the fields, but mainly she was a homemaker, taking care of her familiy.
She is survived by four sons, Saul Aceves and wife, maria of Juarez, MX, Rosario Aceves of Juarez, MX, Ramon Aceves and Cesar Acees both of Portales; two daughters, Marie Aceves of Portales and Olga Aceves of Juarez, MX; thirty grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; and a sister, maria Moreno of Portlaes. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Manuel Aceves and Santos Aceves.
