Albuquerque, NM – November 25, 2024 – The New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce the Hall of Fame Class of 2024, featuring some of the most significant former athletes in the state of New Mexico’s History.

The New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame welcomes former NMSU Aggie and Chicago Bulls Basketball player Randy Brown, former Rodeo star Roy Cooper, former ENMU Greyhound football player, colligate golf coach and professional golf agent Steve Loy, gold medal-winning Paralympian Alana Nichols, former ENMU Greyhound and Seattle Seahawks football player Michael Sinclair and former NMSU Aggie and Seattle Seahawks Football player Fredd Young to the class of 2024.

These athletes and coaches have had significant careers, achieved high standards of athletic success, and contributed to sports, thereby bestowing fame and honor to the State of New Mexico.

The New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame will host a press conference to welcome the new members of the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame on December 28th at 9 a.m. at the Pit on the campus of the University of New Mexico, followed by a recognition of new inductees during the New Mexico Bowl, held at University Stadium on the campus of the University of New Mexico.

“The New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame is extremely excited to announce the newest Hall of Fame inductees,” said Aprilyn Chavez Geissler, President of the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame. “We look forward to hosting everyone at the official press conference on the morning of December 28th.”

The induction ceremony for the new inductees will occur on the weekend of June 27-29, 2025, with the induction ceremony being at the Albuquerque Convention Center at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.
