SANTA FE – Today, the New Mexico Human Services Department announced beginning June 7, 2021 the Portales-Roosevelt County Income Support Division office will be in a new location.
The Income Support Division (ISD) Portales office will be co-locating with the Children Youth and Families Department (CYFD). The agencies will share a common space located at 1500 S Ave. D., Portales, NM 88130.
The Income Support Division and Children Youth and Families Department provide much needed services for many New Mexico individuals, families, and children across the state. The co-location of the Income Support Division and Children Youth and Families Department will benefit the community of Portales and Roosevelt County by providing a one stop-shop for customers. The co-location of these agencies aligns with the HSD’s mission of working with our partners to deliver services to our communities.
The Income Support Division has automated eligibility processes which allow many customers who apply online to receive quick and efficient eligibility determinations without stepping into an office. ISD customers who do not have cellphone or internet access can also use curbside services, which were implemented for the safety of our customers and our employees during the public health emergency. The Portales ISD staff will be available during their curbside hours from 10 a.m. – noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you visit the office during these times, please stay in your car and we will serve you.
The Income Support Division provides New Mexicans with many options for applying, renewing, or reporting changes.
