PORTALES, NM – Feb.9, 2022 – Eastern New Mexico University is seeking help to name new ENMU branded garlic and green chile pistachio, a pistachio caramel popcorn, and a spicy date with pecan cookies.
Eastern New Mexico University is partnering with Heart of the Desert out of Alamogordo, NM, to produce and sell an ENMU-branded Garlic & Green Chile Pistachios (In-Shell) and a Pistachio Caramel Popcorn.
The sweet, crunchy taste of popcorn mixes with farm-fresh pistachio nutmeats for a fun snack, while the garlic and green chile pistachios burst with heat and flavor.
ENMU is also partnering with Snugglecubs Cookies of Albuquerque, N.M., to produce and sell an ENMU-branded Spicy Date with Pecan cookie.
Both of these companies are New Mexico True certified companies, and a percentage of the proceeds of these products goes back to ENMU to support scholarships.

The person who suggests the winning name will win a prize package from ENMU, including the named pistachio, popcorn, and cookie once it is available.
