Natalie Pfaffenberger Clark, age 56, passed away on October 18, 2024, in St. George, Utah. She was born on April 27, 1968, in Cedar City, Utah to Gary S. and Margaret (Douglas) Pfaffenberger. Shortly after her birth, Natalie moved with her family to Moscow, Idaho. Later, they relocated to Flagstaff, Arizona, before finally settling in New Mexico when she was six years old, where she spent the remainder of her childhood.

Natalie was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, always confident in the knowledge that He loved her. She grew up in Portales, New Mexico, where she excelled in various sports, played in the marching band, and graduated from Portales High School in 1986. Natalie attended Southern Utah University on a full-ride basketball scholarship but later returned to her hometown to complete her education at Eastern New Mexico University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1993.

Soon after, Natalie returned to Cedar City to begin her teaching career with the Iron County School District, where she was in her 32nd year of teaching at the time of her passing. In 2005, she earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Southern Utah University. In 2012, Natalie was presented with the Utah Science Teachers Association award for Outstanding Elementary Educator.

Natalie married Glenn L. Clark on August 12, 1994, in Cedar City, Utah. Together, they have two sons, Colby and Jesse. As a family they enjoyed spending time outdoors, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, camping, and fishing. Natalie especially cherished time with her family in Horse Valley, where she loved to read and relax. She was an avid sports fan, particularly when it came to supporting her sons in all their endeavors.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn, and their two sons, Colby W. Clark of St. George, Utah, and Jesse L. Clark of Logan, Utah. She is also survived by her parents, Gary S. and Margaret Pfaffenberger of New Harmony, Utah; her sister, Ranon (Curtis) Hulet of Cedar City, Utah; her brother, Douglas G. (Heather) Pfaffenberger of Portales, New Mexico; her father-in-law, Conrad Clark of Cedar City, Utah; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Greg (Pattie) Clark of Enterprise, Utah; Andrea (Raymond) Masterson of Cedar City, Utah; Bruce Clark of Cedar City, Utah; and Steven (Suzanne) Clark of Yuma, Arizona. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, peers, and students, all of whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Rayma T. Clark.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and other staff members of both the Cedar City and St. George Hospitals for the care given to Natalie in her time of need, as well as the support provided to her loved ones during a very difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Cedar North Stake Center located at 95 North 2125 West, Cedar City, UT. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Stake Center from 6:00-8:00 pm and again at the Stake Center on Saturday, October 26th from 11:00-12:30 pm. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. A livestreaming of the services can be viewed, and online condolences may be left at www.mortuary.org.
