The Portales Rams traveled to Albuquerque for a Saturday afternoon game against Valley High this weekend. The score went back and forth the entire game. The two teams swapped touchdowns back and forth. The whole game was a nail-biter for the fans in attendance.
Portales had the lead by 5 over Valley in the 4th. Valley answered though with a rushing touchdown after, taking the lead by 1. The Rams followed again with a passing touchdown, taking the lead again, but missed the 2-point conversions attempt after.
The clock began ticking down, and Valley answered with another rushing touchdown, but missed the PAT. Taking the lead by just 1 point.
The final score was 47-48, with Valley winning, giving Portales their first loss this season. The Rams are now 6-1 this season.
