COMMERCE, TEXAS — Senior defensive lineman Dakota Montoyascored for the Eastern New Mexico University football team (2-1; LSC 1-1) on a three-yard interception return in Saturday’s Lone Star Conference game at Memorial Field. The Greyhounds suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of third-ranked Texas A&M-Commerce (3-0; LSC 1-0) at Memorial Field.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 23, to host Angelo State at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium. The contest is sponsored by Bank of Clovis and scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. MT. The game is Eastern’s Military Appreciation Day and is the Hall of Honors Game.The contest will be preceeded by the Dawg Walk.

- Montoya’s play was Eastern’s first pick-six since De’Aundre Sandersreturned an interception 51 yards at Tarleton State on October 17, 2015
