Obituary
Arrangements are pending for Michelle Renteria, 46, of Portales. Michelle was born Nov. 11, 1975 in Portales to Maria (Lopez) and Angel Renteria and died Dec. 31, 2021 in El Paso, TX. She was a 1994 graduate of Broad Horizons in Portales. After taking a course in Phlebotomy, she worked as a care giver for the elderly at LaCasa for 20 years or more. Michelle was an excellent cook, and whatever she made always turned out to be delicious. Her specialties were all sorts of Mexican dishes. She was a very caring person, and always wanted to help those who were in need.
Michelle was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved listening to music and dancing, as well as going to the casinos.
She is survived by a son Angel Joel Renteria; two daughters, Iesha Renteria and Areceli Renteria; three grandchildren, Gerardo Ruiz, Anahi REnteria and Angel Renteria, Jr.; her mother, Maria Lopez; a brother, Felipe Alvarez; and four sisters, Linda Alvarez, Hilda Vargas, Eva Lopez and Amy Lopez all of Portales. She was preceded in death by her father, Angel Renteria.
