Michael Martinez Obituary
Michael Anthony Martinez was born on September 29, 1966, in Clovis, New Mexico to the home of Juan Martinez and Patricia Smeal, and passed away on October 11, 2024, in Portales, New Mexico.
Michael was the life of the party. No matter the type of day anybody was having, he always had a joke to tell, a dance to dance, or something goofy to say. He was the joker of the family. Michael was a jack of all trades. He lived life to the fullest and never bothered anyone. A stubborn man, he was loved dearly by his family and friends and there was nothing that his niece Sophia Martinez wouldn’t do for him. He did no wrong; that was her Uncle Michael.
Michael is survived by his niece, Sophia Martinez and her kids and grandkids; his mother, Patricia Smeal; three brothers, Gabriel, Ruben and Donald Martinez; five sisters, Marylou Padilla (Danny), Debra Finch (Mike), Rosina Lucero (Jimmy), Lisa Martinez (Eddy) and Patty Natividad (Aurelio); his children, Bianca Aranda (Joel) and Jacob Martinez (Celsie); three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Juan Martinez, and two brothers, Johnny Martinez and Frankie Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
