PORTALES, N.M. – Alex Bossinakis will join his brother, Niko Bossinakis, as part on Eastern New Mexico Men’s Basketball team, after signing with the Greyhounds, announced Head Coach Brent Owen.

A. Bossinakis joins ENMU after a standout high school career at Fort Worth Christian High School. The 6’2″ guard was a team captain and led the team to a 21-17, along with an 8-2 district record. A. Bossinakis closed out his high school career with over 1500 points and earning TAPPS 5A First Team All-State selection.

“Alex is the second addition to our program from the Bossinakis family as he joins his brother Niko as part of our team. We love Niko and the toughness and work ethic he has brought to our program, but I want to be clear that Alex stood on his own to earn this opportunity,” said Owen. “He was a TAPPS 5A First Team All-State selection in Texas after scoring over 1500 points and leading his team to the state championship game while averaging 19.7ppg, 3.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals. He is an intelligent player who is very strong for his age,” said Owen. “He is a tough winner and graduated with a 3.7 GPA. He is ready for college basketball”.

ENMU Men’s Basketball have now signed six new members, joining Jose Murillo, Erasmo Carreon, Dwayne Chester, Malique Oates, and Grehlon Easter. Owen and his staff completed their first season in 2021-22 after the Hounds missed out on the 2020-21 season.
