Eastern New Mexico head football coach Tye Hiatt announced the hiring of Andre McCall to the ENMU coaching staff as the new Defensive Line Coach.

“We are excited to have Andre join our staff and be working directly with the defensive line,” said Hiatt. “He has a huge passion for this game and that was something that stood out during the interview process. He comes highly recommended from coaches that we know and trust, and I know that he will bring a passion and energy to our defensive line” said Hiatt. “He is going to be a great addition to our coaching staff and he has already hit the ground running. We are ecstatic that he is a part of the Greyhound Football Program,” said Hiatt.

McCall joins Eastern after spending three years at Wayne State College holding multiple positions, most recently as the defensive line coach. In 2021, the Wildcats held a 7-4 record, while playing in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (Division II). As the defensive line coach, McCall coached defensive tackles and ends in a 4-3 scheme, ran position meetings, and assisted in NCAA compliance. McCall also assisted with travel coordination, social media, and recruiting during his time with the Wildcats. McCall’s first position with Wayne State was as a running backs graduate assistant from 2018-2019.

“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to join the Greyhound Family,” said McCall. “Coach Hiatt and Coach Jamison Bisch have been nothing short of amazing throughout the hiring process. Their vision for the Eastern New Mexico University Football program made this an easy decision,” said McCall “I am extremely excited to be a part of such a great staff and most importantly to work with a really talented group of student-athletes. Go Hounds!”.

Before joining Wayne State College, McCall received his first opportunity in coaching at Webster County High School, in Dixon, Kentucky, as a defensive coordinator/linebacker/offensive line coach in 2017. While with Webster County High School, McCall also served as the strength and conditioning coach, managing the weight lifting facility and equipment, developing speed, strength and conditioning programs for individual football student athletes.

McCall received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Kentucky State University, in 2015.
