Funeral services for Rose Galban, 69, currently of Roswell will be held at 2:00 PM, Mon., Feb. 20, 2017 in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Peter Aulson officiating. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Miguel Garza, Miguel Garza, Jr., Bryan Schuler, Eddy Rodriguez, Edwardo Rodriguez and Armando Rodriguez serving as pallbearers. All of her family members will serve as honorary pallbearers.

 
Mary Roselda Espinoza, known to virtually everyone as Rose Galban, was born April 4, 1947 in Loving, NM to the home of Francisca (Leora) and Enrique “Homer” Galban, and died early on the morning of Feb. 17, 2017 in Roswell where she had been in a rest home for the past six years. The family lived in the Loving and Carlsbad area until 1959 when they came to Portales. She had lived in Portales since that time until moving to Roswell in 2011 to make her home at Mission Arch Nursing Home. Since Dec. 15, 1974 she had been married to Otto Espinoza. She was a member of the Potter’s House in Clovis. For enjoyment she did ceramics and quilting.

 
She is survived by her husband, Otto Espinoza of Portales; a son, Roy Galban of Portales; a daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and Miguel Garza of Portales; three grandchildren, Danae (Bryan) Schuler, Miguel Garza, Jr. and Mikaela Garza; a great-grandchild, Natalie Schuler; a brother, Ralph Galban Carlsbad, NM; and two sisters, Mary Ojeda of Carlsbad, NM and Margie Viera of Clovis. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Manuel and Ruben Galban.
