Dear Business Owners/Community Organizations:
The Portales City Council’s Cultural Affairs Committee (Committee) is working on the annual Martin
Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration that will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021. The
Committee has enjoyed a successful collaboration with ENMU for the last several years and continues to
do so.
The celebration will be virtual and will air on Channels 3-1 and 3-2 at 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on that
date. The video is planned to be like the video that was developed for the “Pick Portales” effort where
different community and business groups participated. The Committee respectfully asks for your
participation in this video. The Committee plans to shoot the video the week of December 14, 2020 until
December 22, 2020 and will coordinate the dates and times that will work for your business and
organization. If necessary, they will work with businesses to shoot during the week of January 4, 2021 at
the latest.
