Mass of the resurrection for Maria Angelica Sisneros, 60, of Portales will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. Helen Catholic Church with Deacon Roberto Herrera officiating. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Josh Castillo, Matt Castillo, Carlos Quintana, Aaron Duran, Jason Miller and Miguel Rodriguez serving as pallbearers. Esteban Ruiz, Johnathan Castillo, Issac Castillo and Dale Bly will be honorary pallbearers. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 26th at Wheeler Mortuary and also at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 27 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
Maria Angelica Sisneros was born on November 10, 1961, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to the home of Consuela Feliciana (Bachicha) and Andrew E. Sisneros, and died on April 23, 2022, Clovis.
She was a graduate from Eastern New Mexico University and was employed with the State of New Mexico Human Services Department for 20 years. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren who were her world. She also loved her dog Aramis who was her baby. She had her faith and always saw the good in everything and helped those in need.
Maria is survived by her children Anna Marisol Castillo (Marcos Ortega), Julian Joshua Castillo (Vicki Connor) and James Matthew Castillo; her grandchildren, Analicia Tapia, Atiana Tapia, Esteban Ruiz, Johnathan Castillo and Issac Castillo; her father, Andrew E. Sisneros; her brother, Andrew Sisneros (Melissa); her sisters, Alfreda Sisneros (Raffie) and Sharon Duran (Lupe), and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Consuelo B. Sisneros; two infant daughters; three infant grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
