Lynn Leslie Poff, 65, passed away on Sept. 3, 2021 at his home in Portales, NM after fighting a lengthy illness. A memorial will be held at 11:00 AM, Sept. 17, 2021 in the Portales Cemetery.
Lynn was born Jan. 17, 1956 in Portales to Cecil and Veona Poff. He graduated from high school in Roswell, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 until 1980. He made his home in Portales, and made his living as a handyman, taking care of rental properties, and working at the Sunland Peanut Plant. Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing dominos with family and friends.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Veona Poff, five sisters, Olga Jean Squires, Annetta Faye Stephens, Glenda Sue Samford and two sisters that died in in infancy.
Lynn is survived by two sisters, Kaye Parrish of Portales and Linda Catanzaro of Clovis; and two brothers, Delbert (Barbara) Poff of Portales and Carey (Gayle) Poff of Moriarty, NM; and several dearly loved nieces and nephews, as well as Cindy Boehm, his caretaker.
