Lois Ruth (Baysinger) Floyd August 20, 1929 ~ November 28, 2022 (age 93)

An informal gathering at the graveside for Lois Kinkade Floyd, 93, of Portales, will be held at 10:00 AM, Fri., Dec. 9, 2022 in the Portales Cemetery with Pastor Wesley McAfee oficiating.

Lois R. Floyd of Portales, NM entered into the Pearly Gates on November 28, 2022 in Clovis, NM.  She was born on August 20, 1929 in Mobeetie, TX to Alfred and Alice Baysinger.  She enjoyed spending time with her brother and adoptive family along with her friends.  Lois loved to go shopping and go out for ice cream every evening.  She also enjoyed eating at Bills Jumbo Burger in Clovis.  Lois loved horses and collecting stuffed animals.  For several years she worked for the schools with the Pre-School and Elementary aged children.  Whenever she was able, Lois attended church at Calvary Baptist Church.  Lois enjoyed helping people.  She had a kind soul and a giving heart.  She never took “No” for an answer.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lawson Kinkade and Devon Floyd, her parents, Alfred and Alice Baysinger, her two sisters, Mary Baysinger and Georgia (Baysinger) Miller.  She is survived by her brother Alfred Baysinger of Portales and her adoptive family, Robin Johnson, her primary care-giver of Portales, Elizabeth Brophy, Mary Valero and Alexander Brophy all of Portales.  Lois will definitely be truly missed by many.
