Born August 10, 1029, Clinton, Missouri, to Roy Lee and Ora Elsie Brown. Lindsay Leroy Brown attended elementary school in Garland, Missouri PS 33,then High School in Clinton, Missouri, but joined Military Service August 13, 1946 at the age of 17 and did not graduate. He obtained his GED in 1948 while in the Army. Associate Degree in 1953, from the University of Maryland, while in the Military service, a project called Bootstrap night courses.
Military Service was August 13, 1946 to August 31, 1966. He served in Alaska, New Foundland (Canada), France, India and Germany as well as Bases in Sacramento, CA, Medford, OR, San Antonio, TX, Ogden, UT and Blytheville AFB, Arkansas.
After retiring from the Air Force, his first job was managing a small Hotel with a Night Club and Restaurant in Clovis, NM, from Sept 1966 to November 1969. He purchased half interest in a Night Club (Copper Penny Lounge and Restaurant) in Clovis, NM and operated that as General Manager until March 1977 when he sold his interest. He attended Pilot Training School in Clovis, New Mexico, under the GI Bill and obtained his private Pilot License in 1975, and also attended Eastern New Mexico University for a period of time.
May 1977 to November 1979, he owned and operated a Tractor Trailer rig, driving Coast to Coast hauling frozen beef as well as cheese and fresh vegetables. He sold his Truck Rig in November 1979 and moved to Portales, NM to work for Southwest Canners, a soft drink Company (Division of Coca Cola) as dispatcher. He then started driving Tractor Trailer Rigs and delivering Coca Cola to various distributors in NM, CO, KS, NV, AZ and TX until December 1984.
January 1985 to March 1989, he owned and operated College Cleaners, in Portales, NM, when he sold the Laundry. After taking the rest of 1989 off, he studied Real Estate and obtained his Sales and Brokers License in 1990. He worked in Real Estate until November 1994. During that time he obtained several pieces of rental property. He sold his rental property in1999 to finally retire.
In 2000, he was diagnosed with Chronic Leukemia (not terminal, but affected his immune system).
