Members:
We regretfully wanted to inform you that the Legislative Appreciation Dinner scheduled for Jan. 31 at Hotel Santa Fe has been cancelled for 2022.
We want to make sure that everyone stays safe and with the recent surge in COVID-19 we can’t ensure our members’ safety with an event of this type in that venue. We held out longer than most of our counterparts around the state hoping things would start to turn but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards this year.
Anyone registered already will automatically receive a refund for your tickets. Please cancel your room reservation in person, however.
We will attempt to keep you updated on bills of interest to business and Eastern New Mexico as the session proceeds. Watch for our Legislative Update weekly, usually on Tuesday afternoon. Also be aware of new rules for entry if you plan to visit the Roundhouse this session. You will have to present a current vaccination card with booster to enter or have proof of a negative PCR test within the last 48 hours. New rules will also have everyone entering through a metal detector as no firearms are allowed due to rules made during the interim.
We will try to schedule a wrap-up luncheon once the session is over and make that available both in-person and online. Watch for those details and let me know if you have questions or feel the Chamber should be following/advocating on specific legislation.
