Obituary
Funeral Services for Lee Hill, 52, of Clovis, NM will be held at 2:00 PM, Thurs., April 6, 2023 at the University Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Gabriel Travizo, Brian Hill, Lawrence Hill, Lance Hill, Tyler Hall, Dakota Freeman, Ray Travizo, Jonathan Barela and Ben Hill serving as pallbearers. All friends and family members will be honorary pallbearers.
Lee Alvin Hill was born Nov. 5, 1970, in New Iberia, LA to the home of Lyndia Kaye (Rogers) and Lowery Thornton Hill, and passed from this life on April 1, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. In 1971, the family moved back to Portales. Lee graduated from Floyd High School in 1989, and in 1990 he moved to North Little Rock, AR. While living there he served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter, and worked as a handy man. In 2000, he returned to the Portales-Clovis area where he again worked as a handy man. In 2001, he was married to Bertha Hernandez. The couple had a son and a daughter together before later divorcing.
Lee was a member of the University Baptist Church in Portales. For enjoyment and relaxation, Lee like to go fishing and hunt for arrowheads. He also enjoyed playing a good game of cards.
He is survived by his former wife, Bertha Hernandez of Clovis; a son, Brian Hill and his companion, Myrima Thompson of Clovis; a daughter and son-in-law, Emily Brooke and Cory Green of McCrory, AR; two step sons, Gabriel Travizo and wife, Shalisha and Raymond Travizo of Clovis; a step-daughter, Deliah Hernandez of Clovis; 14 grandchildren, Araceli Rae Hill, Nehemiah Travizo, Elijah Travizo, Aurora Travizo and Kaius Travizo, Alex Valdavizo, Jeseniah Hernandez, Zamara Hernandez and Lucious Hernandez, Linlee Paige Fuller, Kinsleigh Faithlynn Green and Braylen Alan Green and Angela Hernandez; and two brothers, Lance Hill and wife, Tina of Levelland, TX and Lawrence Hill of Portales; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Hill of Harrison, AR; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and a brother, Lowery Hill, Jr. who died Oct. 26, 2022.
