The Portales Lady Rams kicked off their 2021 volleyball season with a game against Hobbs. The game was at 6 PM on Tuesday, August 24th in Hobbs.
The Lady Eagles proved to be a tough opponent for Portales. With a new coach, the Lady Rams are adjusting well, but Hobbs took an early lead, and it never let up by the end of the match.
Set 1 ended in Hobbs leading 25-15. The 2nd set was another win for Hobbs, with a score of 25-18. The final set was like the others prior, even though Portales rallied and narrowly missed the lead. The final score of the 3rd match was 25-23. The 3 match wins for Hobbs gave the Lady Rams their first loss this season.
Portales’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, August 28 at 5 PM in Albuquerque. They will face Bosque HS, looking to add a win to their record.
