Portales hosted Lovington with tip-off at 5:30 for the girls.
The Lady Rams took the lead in the first quarter, outscoring the Lady Wildcats 19-12. The 2nd period provided to be monumental for the remainder of the game, holding off Lovington to zero additional points. Portales added 24 points to their score though, taking the lead from 7 to 31. At halftime the teams were scored at 43-12 with Portales having a commanding lead.
The 3rd period was another scoreless one for Lovington, and the Lady Rams added 10 more points.
Lovington tried to rally, and outscored the Rams in the 4th, but the deficit was too much to overcome, and the Lady Rams came out on top 62-28.
The win moves the girls to 15-5 this season.
