The Portales Lady Rams opened their 2019-2020 basketball season against Española Valley at Santa Fe High School as part of the Capital City Invitational.
The the two teams faced off at 2 pm, and Portales was handed a loss after Española Valley continued adding points and defensively held the Lady Rams to a 20 point deficit. The final score of the game was 62-46, with Portales being defeated. The Lady Rams are now 0-1 this season after the tough season opening loss.
