La Casa Family Health Center Gears Up For the Summer Food Service Program in Clovis and Portales

La Casa Family Health Center is sponsoring the 2018 Clovis/Portales Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) administered by the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department, Family Nutrition Bureau, and the USDA.  This program is designed to fill the gap during the summer months, for children ages 18 and under, who normally receive meals provided by their school. La Casa Family Health Center will be serving breakfast and lunch in both Clovis and Portales May 29 – August 3, 2018.

“The SFSP is a wonderful way to ensure that children are remaining active and healthy during the summer months.  Nutritious meals paired with physical activity, whether it is free play or organized recreation, creates a great environment for the kids at each food site,” says David Briseño, La Casa Family Health Center Director of Outreach and the Summer Food Service Program.
