Graveside services for Kenneth L. Musick, 85, of the Rogers community, will be held at 10:30 AM, Tues., April 27, 2021 in the Portales Cemetery with Scott P. Reeves officiating.
Kenneth Lewis Musick was born July 23, 1935, in Roosevelt county to the home of Nell and Billy Musick, and died at his home in Rogers on the afternoon of April 23, 2021. Kenneth grew up on the family farm, and graduated from Dora High School in 1953. During his school career he showed steers. He loved raising cattle, and had a special bond with each cow. He even had names for all of them, and they would come to him to be petted when he went to feed. As a young man, Kenneth had a private pilot’s license for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and welding, and was handy with his hands, making various gadgets and small items to be used around the house.
On Oct. 21, 1971 in Portales, he was married to Mozelle Konapasek. They had been married nearly 42 years when she preceded him in death on June 19, 2013. He is survived by two son, Greg Musick of Seattle, WA and Bill Musick of Amarillo, TX and a brother, Leon Musick of Elida. Besides his wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by both of his parents.
