Kay Lee Skipworth passed peacefully on December 3rd, 2019 at the age of 91. He was a cattleman, rancher, farmer, cowboy, storyteller and a pretty good windmill man.
Kay Lee was born in Fort Sumner, New Mexico on October 16, 1928 and attended school in the Dunlap area. The youngest son of Roy B. and Ora Lee Skipworth, Kay Lee lived the cowboy way of life.
Kay Lee is survived by two of his three sons, Buddy Skipworth and wife Susan of Lake Sumner, NM, granddaughter Sara Boney and husband Michael along with their three sons Colton Wade, Connor Lynn and Corbin Creed Boney; and Tom Skipworth and wife Sofie of Tularosa,NM, granddaughter Connie Jo Skipworth, grandson Tommy Skipworth, Lindsey Chavez and their son Cotton Lane. The oldest son John Odus Skipworth preceded him in death in 2014. Kay Lee is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy B. and Ora Lee Skipworth, his three wives Jo Juana Vaughan Skipworth in 1988, Helen Tudor Skipworth in 2003 and Betty Skipworth in 2014, his brother Roy (Bud) Skipworth during WWII 1945, his sister Jimmie Luciel Skipworth Davis in 2002 and infant grandson Tommy Clinton Skipworth in 1982.

It was Kay Lee’s request to be cremated with a private family burial to be held at a later date.
