CPAR Home Pride award in Portales goes to Dr. Manuael and Dr. Ann Varela who live at 2003 Aspen Street. Each month a yard will be rewarded in Clovis and Portales. They were nominated by Ali “Pyro” Ghaffari of R1 Realty in Clovis.
The Varela’s yard stands out due to the creative use of colorful rock, and the controlled flower beds adding elegance with reduced water usage. The yard is drought resistant, extremely low water use and at the same time loaded with the beauty of flowers. With the use of Xeriscape landscaping the Varela’s have created a very low maintenance yard with excellent curb appeal.
