Judy Ann McIntire August 12, 1954 ~ June 19, 2023 (age 68)

Graveside services for Judy McIntire, 68, of Portales, will be held at 10:00 AM, Fri., June 23, 2023 in the Portales Cemetery with her dear friend Kristy Tivis officiating.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to Coronado Health Care for their attentive care.

Judy Ann McIntire was born Aug. 12, 1954, in Portales, to the home of Ruth Frances (Smith) and Erl Wayne McIntire, and passed from this life on the morning of June 19, 2023 in Portales.  Judy grew up in Portales, and was a 1972 graduate of Portales High School.  In 1974, she graduated from the Portales Beauty School, and went on to work as a beautician in Houston and College Station, TX for 14 years.  She returned to Eastern New Mexico in 1987, and at different times made her home in Clovis or Portales.  Since 2007, Judy had been a resident of Golden Acres in Portales.  She was a member of the Baptist Church, and enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Kenny Bowman of Conroe, TX; four grandchildren, Bailee Lusby, Benjamin Lusby, Dustin Beggs and Logann Beggs; and her sister, Brenda Wasik of College Station, TX.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Chris Lusby who died in August of 2021.
