PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball team (6-6; LSC 2-3) trailed for just 22 seconds and used a career-high 18-point effort from forward Shelby Jones to cruise to victory Tuesday night. The Greyhounds outscored Western New Mexico (0-13; LSC 0-5) by a 30-18 margin in the paint, en-route to a 69-49 Lone Star Conference victory at Greyhound Arena. The contest was sponsored by Ashley Furniture/Ace Hardware.

- The win moved ENMU to 20-5 overall against the Mustangs with a 13-3 mark at home

- With ENMU leading 10-2, the Mustangs hit back-to-back treys to pull within two points
- ENMU led by eight at half (34-26) and opened the second half with a 15-5 run capped by a Sarina Johnson layup
