A memorial service for Jeffrey Allen Schulein, 60, of Portales, will be held at a later date.
Jeffrey Schulein was born on January 19, 1962, in Sparta, Illinois, to the home of Goldie Pearl (Chambers) and Edward Albert Schulein, and died on September 16, 2022, in Portales.
Jeffrey was born in Sparta, Illinois and later they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. He married Natalie Sue Jenkins on January 21, 1984, in Fort Collins. They moved to Portales in 1991. Jeffrey was a very hard worker. He loved working with his hands. He was a general contractor and was dedicated to his work of building houses.
Jeffrey really enjoyed NASCAR races, football, especially the Denver Broncos, and he loved to go fishing. He was an extremely devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Natalie Schulein of the home; his children, Eddie Schulein and fiancée Shaycee Lawing of Portales and Natasha Sotelo and husband Abraham of Portales; four grandchildren, Denver & Ryker Schulein and Jayden & Maki Sotelo; a brother, John Schulein and wife Brenda of Fort Collins; a sister, Laurie Schulein of Fort Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Dylan McKay.
