3/4/2020 | Track & Field NEW ORLEANS – Eastern New Mexico track and field athlete Ivar Moinat has earned NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Region for the 800-meter.

The Greyhound senior from Amsterdam was one of 1,614 athletes, 812 men and 802 women, to earn All-Region Honors. To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top five individuals in their events in their respected regions. Ivar Moinat is currently ranked fourth in the nation and first in the Lone Star Conference for the 800-meter with a time

of 1:50.8.

Moinat is one of two Lone Star Conference athletes who earned All-Region honors in the 800-meter. Moinat will join the two competitors next weekend as the NCAA Division II Championships take place in Birmingham, Alabama.
Moinat previously earned a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships after running a 1:50.08 800-meter at the Texas Tech Shootout on Feb. 14, 2020. This will be Moinat’s second trip to the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships and third trip to a NCAA Division II Championship meet.
