Today is “211 Day,” recognized each year on February 11th (2/11)! On 211 Day, the hundreds of 211s across the nation raise awareness about the critical services we all provide to our communities and the partnerships that make it possible.
Locally, 211ENM is a service of United Way of Eastern New Mexico that strives to provide access to more than 500 community, health, and disaster resources for individuals and families in our seven county area. We’re available during business hours on weekdays and we respond to messages from after hours calls promptly. Nosotras hablamos español. Every day, someone is searching for help whether it’s for food assistance, financial or utility support, housing or rental assistance, or resources for an aging parent. During times of crisis, like the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting to timely and accurate information is needed more than ever– and 211 is here to help!
When someone calls 211, we listen. We help people overcome barriers; we educate people about their rights and eligibility for programs; we advocate on their behalf; and we offer solutions, guidance, and connections.
Here’s how you can help do that– Follow Us and Join our awareness campaign by following us on social media and sharing our 211 posts today!
