A group of girls in Elida had a lemonade stand on May 28 to raise money for new playground equipment.

Kim Summers, City Clerk, has been working hard, along with Mayor Dixon, to raise $30,000 to match funding from a local ranch.

The girls, Kaylee Jo Summers, Kelsey Summers, and Adison Vigil raised roughly $2,600 towards the cause.

At the event the girls raised $1,200, and since people from in the community and outside the community have donated after they heard of the girl’s dedication.

Please find attached a picture of the girls presenting Mayor Dixon with the money at the June 9 meeting.

We are currently still accepting donations.

Thank you,
