PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team heads to Lawton, Okla., and Wichita Falls, Texas, this weekend for a pair of Lone Star Conference road tests. First serve against the Aggies is tabbed for 5 p.m. on Friday while Saturday’s matchup with the Mustangs is slated for noon. ENMU enters the matchups with a 3-8 overall record and a 1-1 mark in conference action.

The Greyhounds are coming off a 3-2 setback on the road against New Mexico Highlands on Tuesday. It marked the fifth time this season ENMU has gone to five sets, going 2-3 in those matches.

Senior libero Andrea Aguilar comes into the weekend needing 114 digs to move into second place on the all-time list, passing Irma Cobos’ mark of 1,653 set from 1996-99. The Clovis, N.M., native has five matches this season with at least 20 digs.

Senior setter Alexis Aguirre recorded her 2,000th-career assist in the Greyhounds win over Colorado Christian on Sept. 8, becoming just the seventh player in program history to eclipse 2,000. The multi-sport athlete needs 26 dimes to climb into sixth place on the all-time assist list.

Offensively, sophomore Sarah Tuioti-Mariner (128), senior Brooklyn Biel (114) and freshman Jasmine Gannon (103) have all gone above 100 kills on the season. Biel leads the pack with a .200 attack percentage while Tuioti-Mariner has seven matches with at least 10 kills on the season, including a 21-kill outburst against Lubbock Christian.

Following the road trip, ENMU returns to the friendly confines of Greyhound Arena on Sept. 29 against Texas-Permian Basin. First serve against the Falcons is set for 6 p.m. For all the latest news on the Greyhounds volleyball program, follow @greyhoundvball and @ENMUAthletics on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram or visit GoEasternAthletics.com.
