PORTALES, NM — Yuri Nascimiento made four saves for the Eastern new Mexico University men’s soccer team (2-3-1; HC 1-1)) in Sunday’s Heartland Conference game at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium. Eighth-ranked Midwestern State (6-0; HC 2-0) earned a 4-0 win to snap Eastern’s eight-game undefeated streak in home matches.
“I thought we played well at times,” said Head Coach Paul Tate. “We need to put in a full 90 minutes on defense and stay focused. We have to bounce back from a tough loss.”
The Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team will return to action on Thursday, September 21, to host St. Mary’s. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. MT.
