Holiday Happening

The Twenty-First Annual Holiday Happening, sponsored by Altrusa International of Portales kicked off the Roosevelt County Christmas Season with shine and sparkle. Altrusa President Jennifer Hardin opened the program at 11:45 with a viewing of the tables. With 64 tables decorated from a monkey theme to peacocks and everything in between, there was lots to look at.

The luncheon was catered by Sodexho complete with the famous carrot soufflé. That alone is worth going for however the fashion show sponsored by Dillard’s and narrated by Micah Thompson truly had something for everyone.

The back wall of the Campus Union building was filled with Silent Auction items door prizes were plentiful. Dannah Brown and Cozetta Moore were the Co-chairs for this event.

The Holiday Happenings tables are sponsored by individuals and business in our area. The table decorated are already planning their table for next year, many of them inspired by a table at this years event. The proceeds from Holiday Happing is used for charities in our community We hope to see you there next year.
