The Eastern New Mexico University football team heads into the final week of the season with an 8-1 record and tied for second place in the Lone Star Conference. The strong season has garnered the program well-deserved recognition, as the Greyhounds are in the top-20 of the American Football Coaches Association poll for the first time since October 30, 2003.
After ranking 21st in the poll for the last two weeks, the Hounds came in 20th, this week. ENMU is joined this week by Texas A&M-Commerce (tied 8th) and Midwestern State (4th). Eastern debuted in the poll this season on October 16th at 24th, for their first appearance since the 2003 season.
Saturday’s contest against Midwestern State will kick off at 7:05 p.m. at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium. Tickets can be purchased for as little as $10 per person and can be purchased through the ENMU Athletic Department by calling 575.562.2153 or visiting Greyhound Arena. Military members, their dependents and ENMU students get in for free with a valid ID.
