Harold Willis, Jr. Obituary

Funeral services for Harold Dale Willis, Jr., 52, of Monahans, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M. New Mexico time, 11:00 A.M. Texas time, Friday, August 9, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Brad Morgan and Aaron Kizer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Kizer Cemetery with Levi Beggs, Jason Kizer, Jimmy Paxton, William Kizer, Shannon Kizer and Kenneth Scarborough serving as pallbearers.

Harold Dale Willis, Jr. was born on December 6, 1971, in Sacramento, California to the home of Rena Marie (Gaines) and Harold Dale Willis, and died on August 3, 2024, in Houston, Texas.  Harold served in the Army National Guard and graduated with a 77F10 Petroleum Supply Specialist Degree on August 17, 1990.  In 1993 he began driving a truck which he continued to do for 25 years; twelve of which he spent with Welch Trucking.  During this time as a truck driver, Harold met Kyleen Renae Beggs and they were married on August 15, 1997, in Portales, NM.

In November 2012, Harold started working in the oil fields and in November 2018 he began working for Targa Resources as a Maintenance Technician II.  Harold was a very hardworking man with a heart of gold.  He never met a stranger.  Harold loved life, loved music, loved to fish and loved dogs.  He especially loved all of his family and will be greatly missed by all of them.

Harold is survived by his wife Kyleen Willis of Monahans, TX; his children, Rusten Willis and Shayleen Willis of Monahans, TX; his brother, Chris Willis of Alamogordo, NM; his sisters, Carrie Mitchel & husband Steve of Austin, TX and Starla Hill & husband Andy of Washington D.C.; his mother-in-law & father-in-law, William & Boysetta Beggs of Portales, NM; his brother-in-law, Levi Beggs & wife Trish of Monahans, TX; his sister-in-law, Jody Acosta & husband Gabe of Portales, NM, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Rena Willis and a great nephew, Stetson Neece.
