Good Life Senior Living held a groundbreaking ceremony today for their first unit of 16 residences in Portales. The facility is located adjacent to Roosevelt General Hospital and co-owner and Executive Director, Dallen Skelley, lives in Roosevelt County with his family.
The family-operated business has numerous facilities in New Mexico and Texas and a dream of the Skelley family has been to build a Good Life facility in Roosevelt County, where they have roots. RGH CEO Kaye Green explained the opportunity came after a needs assessment conducted by the Roosevelt County Community Development Corp. several years ago and required the hospital district to sell the land to Good Life. Good Life plans to have the building complete in November and hopes to start on the next phase some time after the first phase is fully occupied.
