PORTALES, NM — The 2017 season has been a strong one for the Eastern New Mexico University football team. Their 6-1 start has earned national recognition and a spot in the NCAA Division II Super Region Four poll.
This week, the Hounds came in ninth in the poll, which included three teams from the Lone Star Conference. Midwestern State placed fourth, while Texas A&M-Commerce came in eighth.
The Eastern New Mexico University football team will return to action on Saturday night, to host Texas A&M-Kingsville. The game is sponsored by Wienerschnitzel and will kick off at 7 p.m. The pre-game Dawg Walk will take place at 5:45 p.m.
