PORTALES, NM — Alejandra Camarillo made one save for the Eastern New Mexico University women’s soccer team (2-4-2; LSC 1-1) in Sunday’s Lone Star Conference matchup, as the Greyhound defense took center stage. That save was enough as ENMU posted a 2-0 shutout over Texas Woman’s University (3-3-2; LSC 0-1-1) at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium.
“It feels good to get a conference win,” said Head Coach Ryan Spence. “You can’t that that lightly with this conference. It was our best defensive game of the season. Kenya Brooke and Keyara Zuniga did a great job shutting them down. Offensively Kaitlyn Schmidt played well for us and went all 90 minutes.”
