RICHARDSON, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico athletic programs are coming off another highly successful spring semester academically as 131 student-athletes landed on the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
The LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll is announced following the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on a minimum GPA of 3.30 while also maintaining status on their sport’s respective roster.
The Hounds continue to be one of the top performers in the Lone Star academically, placing the third-most student-athletes out of the 11 conference institutions during the 2018-19 athletic year. Eastern has placed in the top three amongst all LSC schools for most student-athletes to make the list for seven consecutive semesters.
Of the 131 recipients, 28 captured perfect 4.0 GPAs.
The softball program was particularly strong in the classroom, landing 11 of it 13 members on the list while the Greyhounds football program was the most successful football program academically in the Lone Star with 35 recipients making the list.
Eastern continues to improve and excel in the classroom after 107 earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolades after the 2018 spring semester.
