General Nicolle Holcomb
The Eastern New Mexico Athletics Department recognizes the efforts of its student-athletes in the classroom in addition to the playing surface. ENMU student-athletes put together an impressive Fall 2021 semester to record a cumulative department GPA of 3.11.
Leading the way academically were women’s basketball with a 3.44 team GPA and baseball and men’s rodeo with 3.10 team GPA’s.
“We are so thankful to have the student-athletes we do and the effort that they elect to put into their studies. Eastern New Mexico University can be proud of the young men and women who not only compete and represent our university, but also carry a heavy academic load with success,” said Director of Athletics, Dr. Paul Weir.
The Lone Star Conference also recently announced the Fall 2021 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In order to qualify for the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
In total, ENMU saw 118 student-athletes named to the honor roll, with 31 Greyhounds recording a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.
