PORTALES, NM — After a strong indoor season, the Eastern New Mexico University track & field team will host its first meet in decades. The ENMU Open will mark the beginning of the outdoor segment of the Hounds’ schedule.
The meet will start on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Greyhound Stadium. The competition for the meet will include University of the Southwest, New Mexico Highlands and Pratt Community College.
After an indoor segment which produced three All-Americans and six All-Lone Star Conference honorees, Eastern has high hopes for the outdoor season. Last year, Eastern sent seven athletes to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
