PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico University men’s track and field team remained in the weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Poll, coming in 25th. Most recently, the Greyhounds had a strong performance at last weekend’s West Texas A&M Classic.
Marcus Parker leads the charge and leads the nation in the 100m dash, and achieved automatic qualification to the NCAA Championships. He also ranks fourth in the 200m dash. Kenneth Lloyd currently is tied for fifth in the country in the high jump. The Hounds are joined by three Lone Star Conference teams in the top 20. Texas A&M-Kingsville ranks second, Angelo State is third, and West Texas A&M 13th.
The Eastern New Mexico University track & field team will be in action this Saturday at the New Mexico Junior College Ros Black Invitational.
