BETHANY, OKLA. — Mitchell Meisinger converted a penalty kick with 1:46 left in the first half of Saturday’s game to score the first goal of the season for the Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team (0-1-1). The goal was big for the Hounds as they played to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Southern Nazarene (0-1-1) at Wes Harmon Field.
The tie moved Eastern to 3-0-1 overall in the series with the Crimson Storm and 1-0-1 on the road in the series. The Hounds will conclude their road trip next week, with a two-game trip to Colorado Springs, Colo. Action will start on Thursday at 7 p.m.MT, against University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
